I recommend using just beef (shoulder blade, brisket, shank).
Thanks to the bacon, the meat is juicy, and thanks to the herbs – very aromatic!
All herbs can be bought at the supermarket. If you can’t buy thyme, you can replace it with marjoram. You can try parsley or green onions instead of sage..
I advise you to cook rice, vegetable salad or potatoes for a side dish.
From the specified amount of ingredients, 3-4 servings are obtained.
- 1 kg of beef
- 9-12 strips of bacon
- 9-12 sage leaves
- 5 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 tbsp dried or fresh thyme
Cooking the marinade.
Add garlic, thyme squeezed through a garlic press into the oil.
Roll the meat (cut into pieces about 1.5 cm thick) in the marinade.
Place in a baking dish.
Put sage on the meat.
Wrap each piece of meat with strips of bacon.
Put in the oven.
Bake at 180 degrees for an hour.
