Pancake cake with custard, apples and cinnamon

I sincerely congratulate you on the start of Maslenitsa!
I suggest a simple but very tasty recipe.
The cake turns out to be tender and very satisfying.
Instead of apples, you can use any berries, fruits, nuts.
From the specified amount of ingredients, 6-8 servings are obtained.

  • 10-15 pancakes (you can make according to these recipes: Pancakes, Yeast pancakes)
  • 500 g apples
  • 30 g butter
  • 1-2 tbsp. Sahara
  • 1 tsp cinnamon


  • 500 ml milk
  • 150 g sugar
  • 4 yolks
  • 50 g flour
  • vanilla stick (or 2 tsp vanilla sugar)


Cut the vanilla stick.
Take out the seeds.

Grind the yolks with sugar.

Add vanilla seeds.

Add flour.

Bring the milk to a boil.

Pour hot milk into the yolks.

Put this mass on fire.

Cook, with constant stirring, until thickened.
Cool down.

Peel the apples.
Remove core.
Cut into cubes.

Melt butter in a frying pan.

Add apples.

Add sugar (if you are using sour apples, add a little more sugar).
To cover with a lid.
Simmer over medium heat until soft (about 5-15 minutes, depending on apple variety).

Add cinnamon.
Cool down.

Grease the pancake with cream.

Cover with a second pancake.

Lubricate with cream.
Cover with third pancake, etc..

Grease the top pancake with cream too.

Put apples.
Refrigerate for 3-4 hours.
