Chicken soup with “stars”

Hearty, delicious soup.
Will please both adults and children.
Instead of “stars”, you can use shell-shaped pasta or small vermicelli.
The amount of ingredients is indicated per 4 liter saucepan..

  • 1 chicken (about 1.5 kg)
  • 250 g small star pasta
  • 500 g potatoes
  • 250 g carrots
  • 150 g onions
  • 2-3 bay leaves
  • peppercorns
  • ground pepper
  • salt
  • greens to taste


Cut the chicken into pieces.

Put in a saucepan.
To fill with water.
Salt, add peppercorns.
Boil until tender.
Remove the chicken pieces from the pan.

Finely chop the onion.

Grate the carrots on a medium grater.

Peel potatoes.
Cut into cubes or cubes.

Put potatoes in boiling broth.
Cook for 10-15 minutes.

Add onion.

And carrots.

Add “stars”.
Cook until tender.

Add bay leaf five minutes before ready.

Season the soup to taste.
Add chicken pieces (you can separate the meat from the bones).
Sprinkle with finely chopped herbs.
